I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Rachel and I live with my husband in our big yellow house where I spend time doing all things home related. I work at a fitness center, drink coffee like it’s going out of style, and spend a lot of time cooking for my Low-FODMAP diet.
We were thrown a curve ball when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. You can read more about my story here. As a young, newly married couple we were forced to deal with the ramifications of disease and figure out a new normal for our family. I felt broken. I felt helpless. I felt hopeless. But God is in the business of redeeming and restoring us and bringing good out of our suffering.
Life is hard. It can be messy, confusing, and leave you feeling overwhelmed. We all experience our own share of pain, struggle, and tragedy. But how you handle it will greatly impact your faith, your character, and your future. No matter what you face, God loves you deeply, He can be trusted, and He still has a good plan for your life even when everything around you is falling apart. You can find peace, contentment, and purpose in the midst of a stressed, busy, and chaotic life. So join me on my journey as we learn together how to live well and love Jesus in spite of what life brings. Knowing you are not alone can make all the difference!

Looking for posts on health and nutrition? I’m no expert by any means, but my daily battle with disease has encouraged hours upon hours of research and experimentation with food and nutrition. It has forced me to plunge head first into the world of everything organic, clean, natural, local – take your pick! I’ve been gluten-free, egg-free, dairy-free, grain-free, soy-free, sugar-free, meat-free, allergy-free and pretty much experimented with anything and everything free! My battle with SIBO also forces me to create meal plans that are Low-FODMAP and Gluten Free. Check out some of those recipes here and here!
