Let’s face it. Life hurts.
At some point you may face the loss of a job, death of a loved one, a struggling marriage, personal conflict, a sudden illness or a stagnant faith. Over time, the pain and pressure of life can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and defeated.
- Do you feel overwhelmed by your challenges?
- Are you drifting through life without a clear sense of purpose?
- Do your fears, emotions or circumstances control your life?
I know how it feels when life doesn’t turn out as planned.
As a teenager, I experienced the traumatic loss of a parent. As a young adult, I battled long episodes of anxiety and depression. At age 30, I was diagnosed with a degenerative chronic disease that now affects every area of my life. In the last six years, I’ve experienced more pain, grief and suffering than I care to bear.
Pain in life is inevitable. You can’t avoid it, fix it or deny it.
But you can flourish in it.
If you live in automatic drive, it’ll put you on the defense as you react to everything life throws your way. It’s not your painful experience but how you handle your pain that will make or break you. Regardless of your circumstances, you can learn to flourish in the midst of hardship and heartache.
Life will either make you bitter or better. The direction your pain takes you is completely up to you.
This blog is devoted to offering hope and help when you are hurting. You’ll find posts on how to deepen your faith, build your relationships, handle suffering and strengthen your character.
The only way to really flourish in life regardless of circumstances is to be rooted in a living, breathing personal relationship with God. Only Jesus will radically transform your life and give you the strength you need to persevere. Discover how applying God’s life-changing truths will help you flourish in faith and become fruitful in every circumstance.
Life is better together.
